Description

There would be no Casa Sauza if not for the three Dons. Each played an instrumental role in the production of the world's finest tequilas. The Casa Sauza story starts in 1873, when Don Cenobio Sauza acquired the "La Antigua Cruz" distillery - renaming it "La Perseverancia". This became one of the first distilleries in Jalisco to export tequila. Thirty years later, his son Don Eladio took over, steering the brand through the Mexican Revolution and cementing the spirit's status as a symbol of Mexican National Pride. In 1946 the third generation of the Sauza family, Don Francisco Javier, followed Don Cenobio and Don Eladio's pioneering efforts and became one of the first global ambassadors for tequila and introduced the world to Casa Sauza. He took the industry to the next level by lobbying the government to declare the town of Tequila in Jalisco as the only true source of this revolutionary spirit. Smooth, cooked agave and light toasted oak
