My father, Adolf Heck, purchased the Korbel winery in 1954 from the Korbel family under the condition that he maintain Korbel as a family owned producer of fine champagnes, wines and brandies. Today, Champagne is America's best selling premium champagne producing methode champenoise cuvees in a California style, fruit forward light and crisp.
