Remove from heat. Let sit covered for 5-10 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve. Microwave cooking: Rinse measured rice 1 to 2 times to remove extra starch, then drain. Place one cup of rice (200g) and 1 1/2 cups water (375ml) in a microwave-safe bowl. Add salt to taste. Cover tightly with plastic wrap. Cook on high setting for 6-10 minutes. Carefully remove the plastic wrap, and continue to cook for another 10-12 minutes at Medium setting. Stir rice from time to time. Remove from microwave and let sit covered for 5-10 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve. If rice is too hard in the first cooking use more water. Use less water if it is too soft. Electric rice cooker: Rinse measured rice 1 to 2 times to remove extra starch, then drain. Place one cup of rice (200g) and 1 1/2 cups water (375ml) in an electric rice cooker. Add salt to taste. Cover the cooker, turn it on, and cook for 30 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve."
