Tater Treat Waffles with Smoked Salmon & Dill Cream

Super crunchy and delicious, First Street Tater Treats piled into your waffle iron make for decadent hash browns or decadent potato waffles like these. They’re perfect for a first course and best served with champagne!

Non-stick cooking spray

8 cups thawed First Street Tater Treats

6 oz smoked salmon

For the Dill Cream

1 cup First Street sour cream

2 tbsp freshly chopped dill

First Street salt & freshly ground pepper

Directions

Preheat the oven to 250ºF.

Heat an 8-inch waffle iron to high. Spray the waffle iron with nonstick spray and spread 2 cups of the Tater Treats on the waffle iron. Close the waffle iron and cook on medium high until golden and crispy, about 8 to 12 minutes, depending on your iron.

Transfer the Tater Treat waffle to a baking sheet; keep warm in the oven. Repeat with the remaining Tater Treats.

For the Dill Cream, combine the sour cream and chopped dill in a mixing bowl. Season with salt and pepper and stir to combine.

To serve, top each warm waffle with a few slices of smoked salmon and a dollop of the Dill Cream. Garnish with fresh dill and serve immediately.
