Chocolate Heart Cake
First Street Moist Chocolate Cake Mix
1 bar semi-sweet or dark chocolate
1 cup First Street Heavy Whipping Cream & 3 tbs. First Street Powdered Sugar
First Street Whipped topping
For the Cake:
Follow the directions on the First Street Chocolate Cake Mix package to match the size of your cake tin.
For the topping:
Add 1 cup of the whipped cream to a medium sized mixing bowl, add the powdered sugar and bet with a hand mixer on med high until the cream gets thick and will stand up in peaks. If you don’t have time to whip the cream you can buy pre-made whipped topping. Spread the topping on the cake*.
Wash the fruit and dry it with paper towel. Place a mixture of the fruit in the middle of the icing on the cake, leaving 1 inch of empty space around the edge of the fruit (as shown in the image above). Use a peeler to create the chocolate flakes. Sprinkle the flakes around the edge of fruit.
* Note: If you don’t have a heart shaped cake pan, you can bake your cake in a round pan and add the cream topping and fruit in the shape of a heart.
