Lead Graphic Designer
Job Description:
This position reports to the Marketing Advertising Manager and is responsible for designing weekly newspaper inserts
Minimum requirements:
Applicants must have a Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university with a concentration in Graphic Design, Marketing, or Communications or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Five years of graphic design experience in an advertising agency or client-side advertising department. Heavy print advertising experience preferred.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to:
- Develops creative concepts and designs for advertising campaigns.
- Creates project layout while maintaining corporate graphic standards with the ability to add creativity when needed.
- Works closely with internal and external customers on a daily basis to translate thoughts and ideas into creative designs.
- Proofs and prepares files for printers.
- Maintains documentation related to graphic design work including filing, managing images and other related documentation.
- Reproduces designs in a mock-up format for presentations and meetings.
- Provides Project guidance to other Graphics Designers in the department.
- Occasional travel required for photo shoots and press checks.
Skills:
- Proficiency in Quark Xpress, InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Able to adapt to new software
