Job Description:

This position reports to the Manager of Store Systems and is responsible, for coding and unit testing enhancements and new software releases for the stores, documentation, QA support and post production support for the various Store Applications. Provides support to the stores when problems are encountered with the store systems. The incumbent also participates in high level design walkthroughs and will interface with testers to ensure software changes are properly tested.

Minimum requirements:

Candidates for this position must have three or more years experience programming with C, C++, C#, VB,and SQL. Must have solid understanding of programming logic and relational databases. Experience with IBM 4690 and/or NCR ACS systems is a plus.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Design and codes new programs and modifies existing programs for Store Systems Area.
• Performs systems testing: debugs, reviews and validates output.
• Provides support to store associates when questions arise with the computer systems running at the stores.
• Provides after hour support to Helpdesk associates and installers
• Develops test plans for software enhancements and vendor releases for new software.
• Prepares user, operations and program documentation based upon established company policy.
• Works with the quality assurance department during their software testing to answer any questions and document any problems encountered.
• Works with users to ensure needs are meet.

Candidates must possess the following skills:

• Proficient computer skills, including the MS Office programs, Excel
• Ability to apply these skills to essential duties and responsibilities is required
