Facility Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description:

This position reports to the Distribution Center Operations Manager and is responsible to maintain and repair all distribution center equipment. Maintains and repairs physical structures, which includes sprinkler systems, lighting, plumbing, painting, roofing, welding and concrete work.

Minimum requirements:

Candidates must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), plus 5 years warehouse maintenance experience.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Performs all general repairs and preventative maintenance on forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Completes all necessary paperwork related to repairs such as repair requisitions and safety checklists.
• Assesses repair needs and determines the most cost efficient way of completing tasks.
• Maintains all welding equipment and performs some fabrication of materials.
• Maintains all plumbing inside and outside of building.
• Communicates with various vendors to order materials and/or parts.

Skills:

• Must have strong electrical troubleshooting skills as it relates to equipment and facility maintenance.
• Must be able to use diagnostic equipment.
  
  Other skills/Certification:
• Must be a certified welder.
• Must have heavy electrical background.
• Requires knowledge of safety and OSHA requirements.
• Familiarity with fire department regulations helpful.
• Must be able to work alone on a regular basis.
• Must provide own tools.
