MERCHANDISING

Perishable Merchandiser Manager

Job Description:

This position reports to the Merchandising Manger and Space Management technicians to develop and/or modify sets for implementation at store level. Works with associates in both training and execution of multiple projects. Provides direction and oversees from a manager's role, while limiting actual physical contributions.

Minimum requirements:

Applicants must have a High School Diploma or GED is required. Minimum of four (4) years space management and merchandising analysis experience is required. Must have a current valid driver's license.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Project Execution and Completion
  • Works with Project Merchandisers, Supervisor and Department Managers on a timeline for project completion.
  • Coordinates equipment delivery and installation to support individual projects.
  • Works with expanded department and assortment issues- Fresh Meat, Wet Produce, Deli, Dairy and Frozen Foods.
  • Identifies and trains associates to perform tasks in the field.
  • Schedules and communicates to all groups the timeline for the project.
  • Issues status reports to management on each project weekly through completion.

    Floor-plan Maintenance
    Responsible for:
  • Floor plan checks prior to Space Management processing of all new and remodeled stores.
  • Department Check against completed schematics for accuracy.
  • Coordinates the tools associated with total store packages.
  • Supply Perishable Order Guides and Policies Manuals.
  • Schematics.
  • Floor plans/ check-off sheet.
  • Field adjustments reconciled to final plans.
  • Verification of accuracy on all floor plans.

    Department Equipment
  • Identifies and help coordinate the delivery and installation of any equipment needed on project.
  • Works with the Merchandising Supervisor on any and all delivery and install dates necessary to complete a project.
  • Verifies delivery status on each individual project.

    Associate Training
    Trains vendor and department associates in:
  • Equipment installation
  • Order writing
  • Stocking and back up ordering
  • Schematic adjustments
  • Demographic adjustments

Skills:

  • PC skills with experience in Windows based applications strongly preferred.
